The Challenge

In 2024, The Haven Home was ready to evolve. After years of operating as an emergency overflow shelter for unhoused mothers and children, they transitioned into a transitional maternity home offering year-long support for up to 10 families at a time. But their existing brand, website, and outreach tools no longer reflected their mission or future vision.

They needed a strategic partner to help:

  • Define and communicate their renewed mission

  • Build a maintainable, user-friendly website

  • Increase community awareness, volunteer engagement, and donor diversity

  • Align all messaging with a trauma-informed, dignity-first approach

Our Approach

Working closely with the Executive Director and staff, we led a full-scale rebranding and marketing refresh rooted in the organization’s evolved values and services:

Brand Strategy & Identity

  • Refined The Haven Home’s brand messaging and voice to reflect its transformation—including the new tagline: “Where Hope Grows”

  • Created a warm, trauma-informed visual identity system—including new logo, color palette, typography, and photography style

Marketing & Outreach

  • Built a multi-channel marketing strategy focused on:

    • Increasing awareness among Cleveland residents

    • Recruiting consistent volunteers

    • Diversifying individual and institutional donors

  • Created a branded volunteer onboarding guide and social content toolkit.

Website + Tech Setup

  • Designed and launched a new Squarespace website with streamlined navigation, integrated donation tools, and editable content blocks

  • Trained their team on web updates to ensure long-term sustainability

Email & Lifecycle Strategy

  • Designed and implemented 3 new automated email flows:

    • Welcome flow for new donors

    • Volunteer nurture sequence

    • General interest → action conversion path

The Outcome

Within months of relaunch, The Haven Home had:

  • A powerful, mission-aligned brand that reflects its dignified, long-term care model

  • A scalable Squarespace website that serves as a hub for outreach, fundraising, and volunteer coordination

  • A cohesive marketing engine to grow awareness, engagement, and giving

And most importantly, they’re now positioned to not just house—but empower—Cleveland-area moms and children for years to come.
